“We are excited to discuss the advantages of discovery layers at the New Jersey Library Association conference,” said Andrea Buntz Neiman, Project Manager for Software Development at Equinox. “Equinox’s partners happily report a steady increase in patrons finding and using library resources of all kinds as libraries roll out Aspen Discovery. For libraries interested in VuFindⓇ, we are proud to share more information about the Equinox-developed VuFindⓇ skin, which is freely available for anyone to download.”
Equinox’s support for Aspen Discovery continues to grow and now includes Evergreen Indiana, the Consortium Of Ohio Libraries (COOL), the OWWL Library System (NY), Skagit Evergreen Libraries (WA), and the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative (MN). In addition to supporting and hosting new implementations, Equinox contributes to the Aspen Discovery community with training resources, development, accessible themes, and presentations. Equinox recently presented on Aspen Discovery at the first AspenCon conference earlier this year, as well as at the Connecticut Library Association conference, the Evergreen International Conference, and at an equinoxEDU: Spotlight session offered by Equinox.
Equinox’s support for VuFindⓇ includes the design, development, and release of the Equinox Theme for VuFind® last year. The Equinox Theme for VuFindⓇ is an attractive and user-friendly interface designed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance. Equinox is a Registered Service Provider for VuFind®, and was the first service provider to receive this designation in the United States beginning in 2022.
The New Jersey Library Association Annual Conference brings together members of the New Jersey Library Association, the New Jersey Association of School Librarians, and the New Jersey Library Trustee Association as part of their annual conference. This year’s theme is “Breaking Barriers: Inclusive Collaboration.”
