Equinox Welcomes Central Skagit Library District to Evergreen ILS and Aspen Discovery
Atlanta, Ga., January 18, 2023: Equinox Open Library Initiative, a trusted leader in open source technology development and support for libraries, is excited to welcome Central Skagit Library District of Sedro-Woolley, Washington (WA) to Evergreen ILS and Aspen Discovery as they join the Skagit Evergreen Libraries Consortium.
The Central Skagit Library District supports 13,879 patrons and encompasses a collection of 55,018 bibliographic records. As part of their migration, Equinox provided implementation, project management, and data deduplication. Remote training was provided by Equinox’s expert staff. Central Skagit Library District will be included in Skagit Evergreen Libraries’ hosting of Evergreen ILS on Sequoia, Equinox’s cloud-based platform for library automation services.
“I am incredibly thankful for the support the Equinox team provided in the migration process on our tight schedule – they really delivered!” said Jeanne Williams, Director of the Central Skagit Library District. “We are excited to be moving to an open source system. Evergreen offers many customization options and provides a robust reporting system that allows us to fully explore how usage data could help us improve services to our community.”
Skagit Evergreen Libraries launched in 2011 and now includes four libraries in Skagit County, Washington. In addition to adopting Evergreen, the Consortium worked with Equinox to implement Aspen Discovery.
“We are excited that Skagit Evergreen Libraries is growing with the addition of the Central Skagit Library District,” said Rogan Hamby, Data and Project Analyst at Equinox. “Equinox and Skagit Evergreen Libraries have worked together since 2011 and we are thrilled to offer high quality services which support their growth, along with providing innovative new products, such as Aspen Discovery.”
