Atlanta, Ga., April 9, 2025: Equinox Open Library Initiative, a trusted leader in open source technology development and support for libraries, is pleased to announce development projects completed in Q1 of 2025 for Evergreen ILS and CORAL ERM.
Evergreen
- Usability improvements for Item Alerts, Notes, and Tags, including an update to the Holdings Editor (sponsored by the Evergreen Collaborative Development Initiative).
- Enhancement of Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), taking advantage of Evergreen’s secondary permission groups, and giving administrators more flexibility around the groups and sub-groups required to use MFA (sponsored by the Pennsylvania Integrated Library System).
- Development for Staff Client Single Sign On, which allows staff accounts to make use of an institutional identity provider, streamlining logins and enhancing login security (sponsored by the North Carolina Community Colleges Evergreen Consortium).
CORAL ERM
- Bug fixes and improvements for the latest beta release of CORAL ERM, part of a major rewrite of the CORAL user interface that is focused on accessibility, internationalization, and mobile-first response layout principles.
“We’re thrilled to be able to provide improvements to some of the most-used parts of Evergreen,” says Andrea Buntz Neiman, Project Manager for Software Development at Equinox. “It was also great to welcome a new community partner, the North Carolina Community Colleges Evergreen Consortium. Our recent projects keep moving Evergreen forward, and we are proud to work with our development partners and community members to help make Evergreen and CORAL the best they can be.”
