Koha is the first free and open source library automation package. Equinox’s team includes some of Koha’s core developers. As an ILS, Koha can manage a networked inventory, circulation, label printing, multi-format notices, offline circulation, and more! Koha even supports several languages beyond English with more added each year. Plus, Koha utilizes the same web technology as the world’s most popular web-applications and websites, so it is truly platform independent and can work almost anywhere and for anyone. Koha Services
Koha + Sequoia
Koha On Demand (KOD) is designed to be a cost-effective and simple ILS solution geared toward libraries that have fewer than 50,000 titles. KOD instances can be created quickly, with or without existing data. KOD is perfect for smaller special, public, academic, or church libraries that still require a full-featured library automation solution.

Koha's flexibility allows libraries of all sizes to easily implement the complete library and patron service workflow, from acquisitions to cataloging to circulation to patron self-service. Koha's ease of use particularly lends itself to self-contained public, special, and academic libraries.
Koha is available in many languages, with more in development. Visit the Koha Translation Project for a complete list.
With Koha, full text searching is standard, but you can select the search structure, Zebra or Elasticsearch, that is right for your library. Equinox staff can help you create the search and retrieval engine that delivers the most relevant results for your users. Koha can retrieve not only results from your local holdings but also from third-party products, including Amazon and Syndetics.
Koha utilizes modern library standards, including MARC 21, UNIMARC, Z39.50, SRU/SRW, SIP2, and NCIP to ensure interoperability with other systems. The Koha community is proactive about developing or enhancing features that will support information access in the 21st-century library.
The staff client is web-based, offering attractive, easy-to-use interfaces that facilitate library workflows. Both the staff client and OPAC use responsive design, making them usable on desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
Koha is the world’s first free and open source library system. No license, or licensing fee, required. The code is open, distributed under the General Public License (GPL) version 3 or later and is always free to download and use.
Because you don’t need a license to use Koha, you can install and host it yourself or contract with any vendor for the services you need. You own your data, can customize your system, and can choose the vendor that best supports your library.
Koha Community
Koha is backed not only by Equinox, but by a global community of librarians and developers.
