Atlanta, Ga., October 26, 2022: Equinox Open Library Initiative, a trusted leader in open source technology development and support for libraries, is presenting at the 2022 Charleston Conference, which will be held as both an in-person and virtual conference beginning with an in-person event in Charleston, South Carolina from November 1 through November 4 and continuing virtually from November 14 – November 18, 2022. “CORAL, the open source ERM, provides William Jessup University library with a successful electronic resource management solution and offers several significant benefits,” said Erica Rohlfs, Senior Implementation Project Manager at Equinox. “The overall goals were to break down the silos of information within the library, better organize institutional knowledge, and store library vendor information and history in a central location. CORAL ERM made that all possible.”

CORAL ERM is used by libraries and institutions worldwide. The CORAL project is led by the CORAL Steering Committee and the software is developed and maintained by community contributions to the project. The community meets annually for the CORAL Summit. Equinox Welcomes William Jessup University to CORAL ERM and Sequoia Hosting

Atlanta, Ga., August 24, 2022: Equinox Open Library Initiative, a trusted leader in open source technology development and support for libraries, is excited to welcome the Paul Nystrom Library at William Jessup University (CA) to CORAL ERM, an open source electronic resources management system, and to hosting Evergreen ILS on Sequoia, Equinox’s cloud-based platform for library automation services.

The project included moving the library’s in-house instance of Evergreen ILS to cloud-hosting on Sequoia, which includes Equinox support and auxiliary services. Paul Nystrom Library’s deployment of CORAL ERM also includes hosting on Sequoia and additional support and auxiliary services. Equinox’s librarians also provided CORAL ERM training and education services..

“Both products are game changers,” said Michael Kares, Electronic Resources Librarian at the Paul Nystrom Library. “Transitioning to Sequoia hosting for Evergreen allowed our library and information technology teams to increase the reliability, security, and sustainability of open source library solutions for our small library.” Kares continued, “Launching CORAL ERM broke down information silos by providing a centralized location for information about our electronic resources and serials that had historically been tied to individual employees’ emails or file storage.”

CORAL ERM is used by libraries and institutions worldwide. The CORAL project is led by the CORAL Steering Committee and the software is developed and maintained by community contributions to the project.

“Open source software for libraries goes beyond the ILS,” said Rogan Hamby, Data and Project Analyst at Equinox. “CORAL ERM provides efficiencies and workflow improvements for William Jessup University in a reliable, easy to learn, open source electronic resources management system.”
