Equinox Joins EveryLibrary’s 5K Your Way for Libraries
Atlanta, Ga., September 28, 2021: Equinox Open Library Initiative, a trusted leader in open source technology services and support for libraries, is pleased to support the ‘5K Your Way for Libraries’ fundraising initiative by EveryLibrary, a nonprofit organization working to ensure stable funding for libraries through advocacy, education, and support. Between September 26, 2021 and October 2, 2021, individuals and teams will raise funds by completing ‘5K’ of an activity of their choice, such as running, reading, jumping jacks, and more. “Libraries in my neighborhood, and all over the country, do so much more than circulate materials,” said Felicia Beaudry, Product and Education Specialist with Equinox. “They provide programs that inspire learning and creativity. They assist people with job searches. They connect people with assistance in times of natural disaster. They act as voting precincts. If completing 5K of running, walking, or bicycling can help them continue doing those things, even in a small way, I’m happy to participate and encourage others to do the same.”
EveryLibrary supports public, school and college libraries with voter support campaigns which provide funding for library services and ongoing growth. They are a chartered 501(c)4 in the state of Illinois. Donations to the ‘5K Your Way for Libraries’ will support libraries nationwide. Learn more at: https://www.everylibrary.org/
“Libraries are a vital and integral part of our communities,” said Erica Rohlfs, Senior Implementation Project Manager at Equinox, who is completing 5K of indoor rowing. “Everyone should have equal access to libraries – I am happy to be a part of this fundraiser supporting libraries and EveryLibrary in their important work.”

Equinox Welcomes James Memorial Public Library to the Missouri Evergreen Consortium
Duluth, Ga., September 14, 2021: Equinox Open Library Initiative, an expert leader in open source technology, development, and support for libraries, is pleased to announce the migration of the James Memorial Public Library to Evergreen ILS as the newest member of the Missouri Evergreen Consortium.
The James Memorial Public Library was founded in 1938 by the James Foundation. In 2013 the foundation gifted the library, all of its contents, and the first year’s expenses to the City of Saint James. The Missouri Evergreen Consortium began as a resource-sharing initiative in 2012 in an effort to create an integrated library system for libraries in Missouri. The consortium is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provision of the Library Services and Technology Act as Administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
“James Memorial Library’s mission is to encourage reading and the use of technology for life-long learning and the enhancement of the individual’s quality of life,” said Jason Etheridge, Senior Developer at Equinox Open Library Initiative. “I am pleased to have played a part in promoting that mission.”
